Toyota Repair: Vibration on wheel - caused by worn struts?, speed vibration, bushings

Hello,

I took my Camry to have the wheels balanced due to high speed vibration.  The shop told me that the cause was "worn struts" allowing the wheel too much play (about half an inch in all directions) and recommended replacing them.

Does this make sense?  Could it just be the bushings need replacing or some bolts tightened?

I just need to ask you one question before I can answer, did they balance the wheels and did it fix your problem? If not have the wheels balanced and see if it helps before you spend money on struts you may not need.
