The car seems to be in "limp home" or safe mode
Diagnostics not working
It has been mentioned if they get hot they go into this mode
How do I restore engine from this mode

You don't give me enough information to come up with a specific answer, in order to go into limp mode there has to be a check engine light on, is this the case? Can you tell me more about what year camry,what engine and transmission and any diagnostic trouble codes are present in the system? What is the mileage?
Did the engine overheat?
What else happened?
