Toyota Repair: Replacing Ball Joints, replacing ball joints, lower ball joints

Question
Hi,

I've got a '95 Toyota (NOT TOCOMA!) 4x4 , X-tra cab , 2.4L pickup. I am attempting to replace the upper and lower ball joints, I've got the calipers/rotors off (replacing those too!), the knuckle is still attached as is the drive shaft.
What is the "easy" (right) way to get those ball joints off?

Answer
The ball joints are bolted to the upper and lower suspension control arms, you have to remove the steering knuckle by removing the nuts with the cotter pins and using a ball joint removal tool(puller)to break them loose.
You don't have to remove the drive axle.
