Toyota Repair: Noisy Heating/Cooling fan, good luck jack, toyota corolla

Question
Hi, I have a Toyota Corolla 97 and the fan that brings cold/warm air in the passenger cabin makes an annoying high frequency noise (like there is dirt in the bearings or the bearings are worn out). I know that it is located somewhere behind the glove compartment but I am not sure what components I need to take out in order to access the fan. Would it be possible to give me the steps I have to make in order to dismount the fan and replace (or just clean) it? If not, any advice would be helpful.

Thanks in advance,
Iakovos

Answer
You may find taking the glove box out necessary. Once you have that area of the dash exposed you will see the heater fan. You can take it out by removing 3 screws and with it out can see if something is hitting the fan. You can also leave it connected and listen for noise from just the motor. If you have noise from the motor then it will need to be replaced.
Good luck
