Toyota Repair: winshield washer, nissan sentra, nissan guy

Question
Jack, I know you're the Toyota guy, but the Nissan guy's on vacation... can you help me out?

1994 Nissan Sentra 100K miles

Good condition overall.  Spent most of it's life in NC, now calling Ohio home.

Question

I tried using the winshild washer when it was covered with snow, and may have been out of fluid.  I cleaned off the snow and added fluid but it would not work.  I can hear what sounds like a pump motor kicking in, but no fluid comes out.  Temperature well below freezing.  But even after running the car for 30 minutes getting everything warmed up still nothing.  What do you think?  THANKS

Answer
My guess is that you still have ice in the washer bottle. You may nee to remove it and let it deice.  Once it's clean, dry and ready to go back in you can install it and connect the motor. Since I don't know where the hoses attach you will need to make sure they are clear from the bottle to the motor, if any exist.
Then try it. If fluid comes out when the motor works the rest can be connected and tired. If you still have no fluid then the blockage is from the motor to the hood.
Good luck
Jack
