Tractor Repair: 1070 case tractor, case tractor, typical problem

Question
We have a case 1070 tractor with a cab. It is a great running old tractor good power and good on diesel fuel. The problem we are having is with the two hydraulic remotes. If you have a piece of equipment hooked up that requires both remotes, you have to play with the position of one remote lever in order to get the other remote to raise and lower the hydraulics. The three point arms work good and the remotes seem to have good lifting power if you get the levers positioned so they will work.
Is there a typical problem with the remote valves and if so what is the typical repair procedure ? Thanks for your help.

Answer
There are several check valves in the remote valve with balls, springs, and seats.  There are also two blue plastic thermal valves.  The remote valve will have to be disassembled and inspected.  Check all balls, springs, and seats for wear or damage.  It's typical to find some seats that are rough so that the balls do not seal properly against them.  The plastic thermal valves melt or distort if the hydraulic oil has ever gotten too hot.
