Tractor Repair: light switch--Farmall 140, proper connections, light switch
QuestionI need to hook up the lights on my 140. I took the switch out...it only had one wire hooked up. How can I find out the proper connections for the wires? Is there a free wiring diagram source? Which is the contact for incomeing electricity?
Answer There are usually some small letters next to each terminal of the light switch to identify them. I means ignition, H means headlights, T means tail lights, etc. I don't know where you can get a free wiring diagram. Run a wire from the battery and use it to power each light switch wire individually to see what lights up on each wire. Then you will know what each wire is for.
