Tractor Repair: Case 1070 pwr shift, planetary gears, clutch pedal

Question
Trouble shooting Case 1070 pwr shift, engine stalls mosttimes when inching pedal (clutch) depressed, will shift into 3rd range (gearshift in neutral) but loads engine, when engine does not stall when clutch depressed the engine loads down significantly when the C-4 clutch engages.  have replaced bowed C-1 plates and rings, problem got a little better but engine still stalls mosttimes.  C-1 pressure goes to zero in 3rd range and when inching pedal depressed. C-1 sungear doesnot appear to have any support is there a C-1 carrier?  none shown in the manual diagrams and the sungear had a lot of slop when reassembled. C-1 piston was completely retracted when I pulled the C-1 plates, but first time startup with the clutch pedal down stalled the engine.  Next effort is disassemble again and pull the C-1 piston but I don't expect to find anything inside, thinking of pulling the planetary and checking for galled bearings in the rotating gears - any other insights or advice appreciated. Your responses are appreciated, thank you.

Answer
There is still a C1 problem.  Anytime the engine stalls when pushing in the clutch pedal or labors in powershift 3, C1 clutch is on when it is not supposed to be.  The pressure should be on these clutches in these powershifts:

Powershift 1, C1 and C2
Powershift 2, C1 and C3
Powershift 3, C2 and C3
Reverse,      C2 and C4
There should only be pressure on these clutches in these speeds and no others.  If there is pressure on others, there are pilot spools sticking in the control valve.  This is a very common problem.  Remove the pilot spools and clean them.
When the pedal is pushed down, there should only be pressure on C4.
C2 pressure should rise and fall evenly with movement of the clutch pedal.

Any bad bearings in the gears would cause unusual noise, and damage would have been evident when it was apart the first time.

The only thing that supports the C1 sungear is the planetary gears that it slides into when it is installed.  It is normally a little loose, but if it was very loose, something is wrong.  Check that everything is assembled correctly.
