Tractor Repair: IH 986 hydrolic issues, sprag clutch, hydrolic

My 986 is having problems , while at low idle I have no power steering and it will not move. If I increase the throttle the steering works and it lunges forward. Also have had problems with the T/a slipping.

Answer
The front hydraulic pump supplies the steering, brakes, and TA.  If you have to rev the engine to get these to work, the pump is probably worn out.  The TA only needs hydraulic pressure for HI.  If it still slips in LO, then the sprag clutch in the TA is worn out.
