Tractor Repair: Case 1370 Powershift, pivot bolt, return spring

Question
I have a Case 1370 white cab tractor that has been running fine. Today though when we went to start it up the clutch felt softer, and as the tractor is put into gear, it will not go forward or reverse.  All other hydraulics are working, PTO still runs, and remote hydraulics work. Any ideas as to what might be causing it to not move?

Answer
Hello,

Make sure the pedal is coming all the way up when you let out the clutch.  If not, the return spring under the dash may be broken.  If the pedal works OK, then check the linkage between the pedal and the powershift valve under the cab floor.  Something may have come unhooked or a pivot bolt fell out, etc.  You may have to remove the floor mat and floor plate to get at it.  If everything is OK there, then possibly there is something wrong with the powershift valve inching spool.
