QUESTION: It is a 1370 case Agri King It has 4 ranges and 3speeds forward one reverse.  Sorry about the omission.

ANSWER: thats ok case agri kings are like hens teeth this side of the world. what im wondering is does this tractor have any gears that you can change without clutching (powershift} if it does the is a good chance that you have a warped disc in one of the hydraulic clutch packs and it is causeing a drag on the transmission is it any easier to change in different ranges
it may also be the release bearing or main clutch is in trouble if you can tell me if it is powershift or not it will help me more

QUESTION: It does not have a mechanical clutch.  There is a spool that is pulled by a linkage to the clutch pedal.  According to one tractor guy the pedal is adjusted correctly. (the stop is just before touching the floor board) The tractor has sat for awhile but other than the declutch everything works.  Tks.

Answer
i think as i dont know this tractor your better off asking one of the other experts
i will give you my opinion anyway.first if it has a dry clutch on the flywheel it may be sticking from being parked up so what you can try is to put it in gear keep the clutch pressed and hold the brakes on to get it to clean the clutch and release it if this works do a bit of half clutching to give the disc a good cleaning.if not this i would remove the spool that does the clutching and insect it it may be cracked and is not moveing inside the spool properly.after this i think it would be an internal problem.do you know if it does have a dry clutch as they often stick when not being used
