Tractor Repair: craftsman lawn tractor, craftsman lawn tractor, blown fuse

Question
I have an 18 horsepower craftsman lawn tractor that I purchased at Sears in 2005. When I attempt to start the engine, the engine will not turn over. I recently purchased a new battery (fully charged) hoping that to be the problem. The engine still does not turn over and the lights do not turn on. Could the problem be a bad electrical connection (none noticed) or a bad module connection of some sort.  Thank you for any help that you could suggest or provide.

Answer
has to be a wiring problem blown fuse or damaged wiring.im dont fix lawn tractors so dont know the tractor best thing to do is check the fuses and if not that follow the wires from the starter back to the key switch use a light bulb tester or multi meter to test wires for power you could send the question to the small engine repair experts they do lawn mowers
