Tractor Repair: 8n, gas flow, last spring

Question
I have an 8n that was running fine through last spring, summer and fall. Around November I covered it and left it until now. When I went to start it up this spring, no luck. It turns over fine and has spark to the points and plugs. I also have gas flow to the carburetor. Nothing was touched from the time I parked it for the winter and it has always started right up without hesitation. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

Answer
Hello,

Either the gas has gone stale or the float in the carburetor could be stuck.  Gas doesn't keep for more than about 3 months, so you might try draining the gas out and putting in fresh.  If you have gas flow to the carburetor, that still doesn't mean it's flowing THROUGH the carburetor.  If the float is stuck, it might not be letting gas into the bowl.
