Tractor Repair: serial number location, serial number location, new holland

Where the serial number is located on a 1996 or 1997 New Holland 6610 tractor? It been freshly repainted befor I got it. Why do the front bucket & rear lift come up slow? They go down fffast. Thank you.

The serial number can be located in several different locations depending on where it was manufactured.
On the left side of the engine as you are sitting on the tractor, in front under the hood or on either the left or right side under the platform, on the side of the tranny.
just hope the plate hasn't been removed,it would have more info the just the stamped ser.#.
As far as the loader and 3pt lift it sounds like you might have a flow problem.
When was the last times the hyd. oil and filters were changed?
Always start with the simplest things first.
If you can test the hyd pressure that will help diagnose everything alot quicker.
If your pressure and flow is good then you have issues with the valve.
Let me know what you find out and we will go from there.
Hyd problems can be frustrating.
