Tractor Repair: brakes, brake valve, hydraulic brake

Have a 706 IH tractor hydraulic brake will not release on one side. Pedal releases but brake will still drag? Have taken is apart but did not see anything wrong. Help

  Make sure that the pedal is coming all the way back when released, and also that when the pedal is all the way back, that the spool in the brake valve is returning all the way.  If everything is OK, then remove the brake line from the valve to the side that does not release, and cap off the valve.  If the brake releases, then there is a problem inside the brake valve that must be repaired.  If the wheel is still locked up, then there is something wrong other than the brake.
