Tractor Repair: case 885 steering problems, flow divider, simplest thing

purchased recently a case ih 885 1985-1990, cant see year due to loader bracket, steering doesn't work, looked at mcv/flow divider, flow divider was well worn and the spring was missing.  Replaced mcv with another of working tractor. steering wheel now goes round but wheels don't move. Loader works fine and so do link arms. please help

Simplest thing to do is take off the line to the steering cylinder and put in a bucket start the tractor and turn the wheel if you have oil then your steering cylinder is bad.  If there is no oil then you need to check for oil at the steering valve. If there is oil there then its back to your mcv.
