Tractor Repair: fuel injection problems, fuel injection problems, balance shaft

Question
QUESTION: Good morning all. My problem is with the balance shaft bushings  keep coming out of the journals in the block. The engine is a 4045T not a powertech series. Approximately 1985 model or later. Disregard the skidder reference as this engine is used in ag apps as well. Is there an oversize bushing service available, I find it hard to believe that deere would rather scrap a good block on account of 6 dollar bushing  . Thanks for your help.

ANSWER: Well when you install new bushings you have to make the dimple in them. The tools # is jd255. You are going to have to borrow it from a dealer or buy one. When you use the tool make sure the oil hole is lined up. Hope this helps

QUESTION: I just purchased a Skidder with 6068t engine only problem is hard starting in the morning. Cranks with a little ether runs out well until it sits overnight. supply pump? no smoke skip or other problems any help is greatly appreciated.

Answer
Clamp off the fuel supply and return with line pliers when you shut it off at night. If it starts in the morning then it is your primer pump or filter head. If it does not then you need to check the injectors. You could also have low compression, check it when you have the injectors out. You could also install a check valve in the supply line. John Deere has little plastic ones that are cheap. Make sure you rate my answer's and if you have another question please start another question.
