Tractor Repair: Ford Tractor with front end loader, crankshaft pulley, ford tractor

Question
I have a Ford tractor model 3000. It has a front end loaded mounted to it. Recenty the end loader quit working. The shaft coming from the front of the engine, the "key on the front pump" was missing, replaced and the key seems to keep coming out. Looks as if the shaft is not long enought, and the shaft that goes on the front pump, is either worn out or something has loosen up to causes the shaft to move back and then the key to come off. My question is, the shaft going to the crank pully, can I pull it out toward the front of the tractor, without having any teeth or something else coming " out of alinement "
How can I find out what kind of front end loader I have.

Answer
Hello,

You should be able to pull the shaft out of the crankshaft pulley without a problem.  There should be an identification tag on the loader frame somewhere with a brand, model, and serial number.  The tags are sometimes riveted on.  If the tag is missing or damaged so you can't read it, then I don't know how you will identify it unless someone familiar with these loaders recognizes it.
