Tractor Repair: Fiat 55-66, linkage, fiat

I cant get the linkage to hold it,s position.I can get it to go right down & right up when using draft but when using position it goes right down but will rise more than 1/4 of the way up ????

Sounds like to me that you position linkage is broken or bent internally. The hitch going up and down with the draft says that the hitch itself is ok. All I can suggest is that you look at the parts breakdown of the linkage and see if there is anything missing on the outside. Otherwise you are going to have to take the rockshaft housing off and find what is broken on the inside.
