QuestionIm a student at the local collage taking heavy duty mechanics, im currently working on a international harvester hydro 84, the owner of this tractor seems to be having transmission problems.
He says that when the engine is warm, the tractor can no longer pull a medium load or drive up a slight incline, however if he backs up a hill it works, the engine speed is not pulled down, it just stops moving.
There is also oil leak showing but have not tracked it down yet. Could this be the relief valve, and if so where is the valve located, if not what else can cause these symptoms.
