Can you please give me some trouble shoot ideas and tell me the repair i have to do? when i slowly engage pto i can feel a detent. (spring type pressure)It always worked good before. Thank you in advance.

Answer
Hello,

Make sure the engagement spool is going all the way down when the lever is in the disengaged position.  Possibly it was damaged when the pto shaft broke.  If it's OK,  then a gauge should be installed in the pressure test port to see if there is still pressure when it is disengaged.  If it shows pressure, the spool assembly may have internal damage and should be removed and repaired.  If there is no pressure, then the entire pto will have to be removed from the tractor to repair the pto clutch.
