HOW DO YOU SET THE RELIEF PRESSURE UP ON A 1978 - 1070 - CASE TRACTOR?

Hello,

  There are shims available to install in the relief valve located on the remote valve housing.  There's no way to know how much to shim it, it's trial and error until you get it to around 2100 psi.  If you aren't successful, you will have to replace the relief valve and spring.  Make sure the pump is good also.  To see a picture of the relief valve, go to caseih.com, click on parts, and type in your model number.  Select your model from the results and go to the hydraulic section, then select auxiliary valve.  You will see a breakdown of all the parts and a listing of the part numbers.
