Tractor Repair: fordson major, google search, holland dealers

hi there i have fordson major 1956 that i am restoring at the mo, ive got to the brakes, taken them apart and need to replace the oil seal on the shaft, cant real see much on how to take the shaft out, can you help or send pics or name a web site that can. many thanks jon

  There may be many websites, but I only know of one.  I did not do a google search, I figured you can do that as easily as I can. You can go to servicemotor.com, click on parts, then online parts search, then select New Holland.  In the model search box, type in major, then click search.  Select your model from the results, and select the proper section for the brakes.  It will show an exploded view with the part numbers.  If that doesn't help, then I would recommend asking a dealer or repair shop that used to handle Ford tractors.  Many New Holland dealers were Ford tractor dealers.
