Tractor Repair: Diesel engine compression test, compression gauge, ford diesel

I am working on a Ford Diesel tractor and need to do a compression test.  I am a bit new at working diesel engines so I was wondering what the procedure is for doing this test.  I have done searches on the internet but can only find the test procedure for gas powered engines.

Hello,

  You will need to remove the injectors and install a compression gauge and adaptor into the injector hole.  Finding an adaptor that fits on this model engine might be a little bit of a challenge unless you know someone at a repair shop that will let you borrow one.
