Tractor Repair: 1982 3910 GAS TRACTOR, vacuum leaks, gas tractor

MY TRACTOR QUIT ON ME WHILE TILLING. GOT STARTED RAN ABOUT 10 MIN. AND QUIT AGAIN. I HAVE NEW COIL,POINTS,CONDENSER,PLUGS AND REBUILD CARB. GOT IT TO RUN A LITTLE BUT I BACKFIRES AND POPS REAL BAD. COULD IT HAVE JUMPED TIME? ANY IDEALS?

Hello,

  First make sure you are getting full flow of fuel from the tank to the carburetor.  Make sure the carburetor and manifold mounting bolts are tight to eliminate the possibility of vacuum leaks.  Make sure the points are gapped correctly.  I have had new condensers that were no good at least twice.  Check the wiring and voltage to the coil to make sure it is getting full voltage.  I don't think it jumped out of time, but it should still be checked.  Nothing is impossible..
