Tractor Repair: case 1690 (DB 1690), hydraulic motor, joystick control

Question
Enjoy your site! I have a Case 1690 that I have just bought. Now I want to run a hyd. motor for a sprayer. I know you aren't an expert on European tractors (nor am I, IH RED BLOOD)  but thought since this is a "CASE" LOL, you might know how to plumb it for the hyd. motor on an Ace cent. sprayer pump. This tractor has a third hyd. block that a loader is plumbed into. I don't quite understand the Lever in the cab to switch the hyd. from the aux. valve to the 3 point hitch or quite how to do it. Do you plumb it into the 3rd. block and back to the rear end , or from the aux. and back to the rear end like I would a 1066? Thanks for any imput.

Answer
  Hello,

From your description, I'm guessing that the loader has a joystick control, and this 3rd block that you are referring to is a power beyond block that is supplying the joystick valve.  To run a hydraulic motor, hook it up to an aux. valve using the coupler that is pressurized when the lever is in the "lower" position  Running the return oil into the rear end instead of the other aux. "raise" coupler will keep the hydraulic oil cooler because of less back pressure.  Always remember to turn off the hydraulic motor by moving the lever from "lower" to the "float" position, not the neutral position.  Otherwise the hydraulic motor can be damaged.
