Tractor Repair: JD STX38 Starter, starter solenoid, click sound

Question
When I turn my key, I get a CLICK sound and the starter doesn't spin or engage.  If I continue to turn the key, it will eventually spin the starter.  Is my starter bad or is this electrical?

 Hello,

   The starter is probably good if it will eventually spin over.  The starter solenoid is probably bad if you have to keep clicking it until it finally works.  Check all the wire connections and grounds to make sure they're clean and tight, but most likely the starter solenoid needs to be replaced.
