Tractor Repair: 560 ihc tractor, torque amplifier, clutch disk

Question
pushing snow with tractor everything working good pushed in clutch and put reverse then nothing. Is there something about torque having small spline in trans. that could stripped  clutch's are good I move torque back and forth

Answer
   Hello,

It could be the rivets sheared off on the clutch disk, or a stripped input shaft or clutch hub. Try to put it in gear with the engine running, but not pushing in the clutch.  If the gears grind, the clutch is turning and the problem could be in the differential.  If there's no grinding, the clutch is not turning the transmission.  If you've moved the torque amplifier lever both ways, the problem shouldn't be in the torque amplifier, because both hi and lo speeds wouldn't fail at the same time.  Also check the clutch and torque amplifier release linkages and clutch pedal free travel.
