Tractor Repair: 9 n tractor, vacuum leak, new tank

Question
My tractor starts up perfect and runs great until it warms up , then it wont stay running unless i completely pull and hold the choke closed If I even open the choke a little bit it will stall. It has a new tank recent new carb, clean fuel. it does not smoke. any ideas?  Thank you.  Bill

Answer

  Hello,

Remove the glass bowl under the tank, turn on the valve, and see how much fuel flows out.  It has to come out full stream, a little dribble is not enough.  Check the manifold and carburetor mounting bolts to make sure they are tight, you could have a vacuum leak making it run too lean causing you to have to choke it to keep it running.
