Tractor Repair: Power steering problem, flow divider, hydraulic pressure

I have a international 300 utility with lift.Power steering works without load,but slips with load. Is there an adjustment on the p/s unit? Thanks Rod

   Hello,

   I don't think there's any adjustments on the power steering unit itself that will help this problem, but first make sure the hydraulic oil is good and at the proper level, and that the filter is clean.  Make sure the hydraulic  pressure is correct.  Make sure the flow divider valve is not stuck, and is supplying enough oil to the steering.  If everything is OK, then there could be a leak inside the power steering unit.  I would suggest getting a repair manual if you're not familiar with it.
