Tractor Repair: No start, ford 9n tractor, wiring switches

I have a ford 9n tractor i have changed the coil and the points i still have no spark any ideas

Hi Mike.
OK so how is the battery, wiring, switches, connections, ht -Leeds, caps, plugs ? all contribute to the poor starting of these machines.
Did you hold the plug up against some bare metal when looking for the spark?
Sometimes its difficult to see the spark if its bright sunlight as well.
Do check the electrical contacts of all parts mentioned above.
Also check fuel flow etc if poor starting is the real problem .
if the battery is down them it obviously will contribute to the lack of spark if the engine is not spinning over fast enough.
