Tractor Repair: Kubota LQuestioner: Jason2250, repairing the clutch, clutch pedal, oil seals

Question
The clutch is slipping, why would it be slipping?  Plates, bearings? I need to disassemble the clutch and need some advice, key points or any info on the process so I don't do any extra steps.

Hi Jason.
Ok so you have a manual should have come with the tractor!
Slipping clutch usually indicates that it is worn out or engine oil has crept through from the engine or gearbox! In which case oil seals may be needed.
There is no short cuts but in most cases the engine / gearbox has to be split exposing the clutch.
But before you go down this route check that there is a small amount of free movement on the clutch pedal,
This is normally about 10 mm or 3/8 of an inch. When you press the pedal down! This may be your problem !!! if this is missing re set . ok
Check this before doing anything else.
Let me know.
