Tractor Repair: 53 ford jubilee radiator, rubber pads, hard rubber

Question
Hi, I have a 53 ford jubilee with a bad radiator and trying to figure out how the heck to replace it?  How do I get it out- do all the body parts have to come off?  Since it's so wide there is no way it looks like it can come out the top w/ the hood open, nor even if I took the fan off I don't think i can pull it backwards- I'm really hoping there has to be an easier way then what im thinking...

Answer
Hi George.
53 FORD JUBILEE ?
MAJOR ?
Not sure which model this is?
From what i can remember and with out a manual to hand , i imagine you will have to remove the front cowell first usual a number of small bolts and either support or remove the hood.
after draining the water and disconnecting the hoses most rads are held at the bottom by 2 bolts one either side of the base of the rad ,these are usualy mounted on a couple of hard rubber pads very often the bolts slide forward with the rad in a couple of slots and there is no need to undo them completely.
This should get the rad out.
But consider what is wrong with the rad first does it need a major rebuild or replacement it may well be that it needs pressure cleaning inside and out but you are in a better position to tell than me.
