Tractor Repair: Toro problems with shifting, mechanics, bearing

I'm from Minnesota and I have a Toro riding mower (model #56185) and have problems when I try to shift into gear.  I shift into a gear, and sometimes it starts moving, but eventually stops moving and then makes a grinding noise.

Mike to me it sounds like a bearing may have failed but where I am not sure you will need to drain the oil from the transmission and see what sort of metal comes out.
But it sounds like it could be a job for the proffestionals
at this point unless you are good with mechanics.
Drop the oil and let me know what you find please.
