Tractor Repair: Massey-Ferguson trouble, massey ferguson, hometown aol

Hi Danny,

My 1959 Massey Ferguson M130 has a problem.  I'll be working along, and stop and put it in neutral, and then when I get back on to work, I'm unable to get it into any gear.  I took the cover off the trans and futzed around, and eventually it just dropped into first.  Buttoned it back up, and drove it off, and then a few days later, it did it again.  This time I wiggled everything till it finally shifted. Then it happened again.

I just got some replacement detent springs, and a shear pin for the 3rd/4th rod, but I don't thing either of those were causing this problem.  I'm putting it all back together tonite (Sunday), but I don't really think I've addressed the problem.

Syncromesh?  What do I do?  Thanks for your help!

Larry this is a French machine I think and have not had a lot to do with it so i'm of no real help sorry.
