Tractor Repair: massey 675, massey ferguson tractors, wet disc brakes

Question
oil leaking  from back axle,at the point where the the brake lever enters axle,
also is it difficult to fit a new secondry hydraulic pump?gotten weak over the years.

Answer
Hi Jerry
I am not familiar with the MF675 I cannot find it listed on anything I have. It may be that it is one of the tractors that is built someplace besides the United States & it is very likely we have one the is about the same. If it is new enough to have wet disc brakes it probably has the seal for adjusting bolt for the actuator. If that is it you remove the brake applying mechanism & replace the seal. If it is an older tractor with dry disc brakes then you have a seal between the brake disc actuator & the rear center housing in that case the rear axle has to be removed to replace that seal. Most of the Massey Ferguson tractors to replace the Remote hydraulic pump the tractor has to be split between the rear center housing & the transmission. Sorry I cannot be more specific on this Big Dean
