Tractor Repair: mf 135, massey ferguson tractors, hometown aol

Question
I have a very old mf 135 (don't know the year) and as we were backing up today, we then couldn't get it out of reverse.  The Hi/Low still works, but we can't move the shifter out of reverse.  It is very solid and stiff in the reverse gear.
The clutch works fine too.   The tractor goes backwards just fine, in either hi or low gear.
Can you help me!
