Tractor Repair: massey furg,harris, furg, gear oil

its a 1948.sterring is so hard i can't hardly steer.

That could be caused by the steering gear box being out of oil They use 89/90 WT gear oil. It could be bad bearings in the steering gear box. The spindles needing grease or the bushing & thrust bearing on the spindle wore out or very possibly all of this combined on that old of a tractor.
