Triumph Repair: TR-6 Brakes, brake light switch, brake servo

Question
Howard, Today I replaced the power brake servo on my 73 TR-6, and then bled the brakes. The pedal is appropriately firm and the car now stops just as it should, but both brake lights are now ON whenever the car is running. What gives? Any suggestions?  I would be grateful for any help you could provide, as there is now Triumph mechanic within several hundred miles of my location.

Answer
Hi Timothy,

First jack the car up and pump the brake pedal and with the key on check to see if the brake lights work or are on all the time. Release the brake pedal and check to see if the wheels rotate freely (front and back). If they rotate freely then check the brake light switch (on the brake pedal) to see if it is adjusted wrong.
