Triumph Repair: Vacuum hose diagram, charcoal canister, manifold vacuum

Question
I need a diagram of the vacuum hose routing on a 1974 TR6

Answer
Sorry Randy, I could not come up with a printed diagram for that car but I know where most of the vacuum hoses go. A hose connection on the back flange of one carb goes to an inline flame trap and on the the EGR valve. The connection on the intake manifold goes to the vacuum retard unit on the distributor. (if your car has a vacuum switch on the lower part of the throttle linkage the line from the manifold to the retard unit has to go through that vacuum switch). If your carburetors have ports on the side mounted decel valves then they also get manifold vacuum. Also one vacuum hose from the intake manifold goes to the charcoal canister.
The car originally had a vacuum diagram under the hood but most were not readable after several years.
That is the best I can remember about that vacuum system.
