Triumph Repair: TR6 Clutch, clutch disks, clutch release

Question
I have owned my 76 TR6 since 1978 and love driving it every summer in Ohio.  However, this last year, my clutch is starting to act up.  It engages ok, but, when I release the clutch, it catches and grabs, rather than releasing slowly.  I took it to one mechanic who could not diagnose the problem.  I have noticed that it operates smoothly after I start driving it, but, the problem seems to develop and get worse after 5-10 minutes. What's the cause of this problem and what is it going to take to fix it?

Answer
Hi Jim,
I have not seen a single problem that I can say is the cause. I have seen glazed clutch disks do that and even chatter when released. Also loose play in the clutch release fork especially where the fork is pined to the shaft which is a common problem. I don't know anything on the outside that can cause it.
