Triumph Repair: 1980 spitfire u joint flange removal, Spitfire, axle

Question
Lost an axle shaft u joint which damaged axle flange how do you remove, is it a press fit and is there a retaining pin.  there is a hole in the flange I put a punch in there but nothing came out the other side after a few strikes with the hammer.

The axle flange is held in by a roll pin, and typically 30 years of corrosion.

Not sure I've seen them sold separately, although I haven't looked for one lately.   

Your best bet is to find a complete axle assembly.
