Triumph Repair: ignition, triumph spitfire, battery problem

the key is sticking and won't turn the ignition in my Triumph Spitfire. What's the problem/what's the fix? It was turning, and I then thought it was a battery problem, but it turned over, and ran. Now the key will not move at all.

Hi Jayne,
If it is a steering lock model you may need to wiggle the steering wheel as try to turn the key. If that is not the problem you may have a faulty lock assembly and you might try spraying something like WD40 in the key slot and wiggle the key. If that don't work you may need to replace the lock assembly or remove it and take it to a locksmith.
