Triumph Repair: Follow-up 73 Spit electrical, turn signal switch, signal problem

Question
QUESTION: Thanks for the reality check Howard. I know looking for the quick fix is like shooting at a dart board for an answer. Would you recommend that I take apart the dash board to get a good look at the wires because I can't seem to follow anthing looking from the floor boards?
Thanks, Ross.

ANSWER: Why are you wanting to take the dash apart? I thought you said you had a turn signal problem??????

QUESTION: Sorry Howard.  My lack of experience is apparently showing through.  When I trace the light from my turn signal in the back it goes under the dash.  That is where I am having trouble following it and thought that is where the problem is.  Maybe I am thinking about it incorrectly.  If so you can probably understand my frustration on following any wire under the dash board.
Thanks, Ross

Answer
If you look at the diagram you will see it goes to the turn signal switch. I never had to remove a dash to check wiring in dealerships that I worked in. There are a couple of large plugs that connect to the turn signal switch and wiper switch and by looking at the diagram you can ID the wire needed to be tested by it's color code. Always look at the color of the wire on the harness side of the plugs because sometimes the color is wrong on the switch side of the connector.
