Triumph Repair: Rear-end noise, brake spring, car engine

Question
I hear a strong click-click-click from behind me when I'm driving.  Has gotten louder in the past 200 miles.  Clicking speeds up with car/engine speed. Still continues if car is in neutral or when clutch is depressed.  Probable problem(s)?

Answer
-Bad U-joint
-Rear stud pushed in & tapping brake spring
-Rear axle bearing(s)

Jack the car up, take out of gear, and spin the wheels back & forth to see if you can reproduce the noise and figure out which part & which side is making the noise.
