Triumph Repair: brakes, brake, master cylinder

Question
1979 triumph spitfire 1500..has new master cylinder and brake shoes look good.  They were bled out, workrd for awhile and now are not working

Answer
Paul,

Not quite clear on what you mean by "not working".  Brakes don't work at all?

Soft/spongy pedal?

Pedal to the floor with no resistance?

Brakes work but pull to one side?

Obvious things first.  Fluid in the reservoir?  Front and rear?

Rear brakes adjusted properly?

Parking brake adjusted properly?

Is the brake warning light on?

Typically with a new master cylinder you need to bench bleed the master first to get the air out.   If you had the brakes working at one point then you may have most of the air out of the m/c.  You still may need to rebleed the system.

Give me some more details and we'll figure this out.

Cheers,

Jim
