Triumph Repair: Sport Windshield, road debris, bumble bees

Question
Jim,  Do you know where to get a sport windshield, these are the ones that look like half of a normal windshield.  Or is this a modification, if so do you know how its done, ie cut the post and then use a such and such model windshield, or have one made out of plexiglass.  Thanks

Answer
Ron,

Are you thinking of the Brooklands windscreens, small glass half ovals in front of the driver and/or passenger?

Or are you looking for a fully framed windshield that's shorter?

As far as I know, cut down windsheilds are a custom job.  The only time I've seen something like that in use is on a race car.  Is this going on a race car or a street car?  If on the street, keep in mind that one function of the windshield is to keep road debris and bumble bees out of your face.  And when it rains, what do you do for a top?

If you do want something cutdown and racy looking you might try some of the performance parts houses for Triumphs.

Cheers,

Jim
