Triumph Repair: 76 spit 1500 rear spring orientation, spring orientation, rear spring

Question
I have a 76 Spit 1500 and am rebuilding the rear end.  I am replacing the rear spring.  Is there a correct way to install the spring.  ie is it symmetrical?  There were no indications on the replacement part as to a front/back right/left side.  Installed it looks as if it is angled to the rear of the vehicle.  The body is off so I can't tell if the locator links on the front side will hold it in place correctly.  I would like an answer and have not been able to locate an answer anywhere.  It would be much easier to change before I put the body back on.   Thank you this is a very informative posting site.

Answer
It is symmetrical; I've never paid much mind to how it installs; It has always fit.
There aren't any special locating pins or clips for the spring that are sensitive to orientation.

Hope that helps; keep an eye out for pictures of other's cars, doing frame off restorations; I've seen many a picture where they have the spring installed, so that would be a good refernce as well
