Triumph Repair: Weber DGV Conversion, weber dgv, vacuum line

Question
I am swapping out the Stromberg carb for a Weber 32/36 DGV carb.  I am having some trouble getting everything to reconect.
First is the crankcase vent. On my old one, this vented to the carb and the carbon canister, but there is no where I can see to connect to the new carb.  Can I just cap that and vent only to the canister?
Second is the EGR Valve.  There is where to connect it to on the new manifold.  I'm not concerned about emissions, but I want to know if I can just remove and cap the EGR, or if that will cause a problem?
The rest is just getting different size hoses for the connections.

Answer
The crankcase vent goes into the air cleaner on the weber; if you got the K&N filter, the bottom plate should have a hole and include a white plastic hose connector.

You don't want to cap the vent.  You can always put a filter at the end of the hose, like many early V8's have on their valve covers, just so that you don't suck in dirt, and any oil vapor blowing out gets trapped by a filter

You can remove and cap the EGR ports; one side is the vacuum of the intake manifold, the other is the pressure side of an exhaust manifold, and the EGR actuator vacuum line would typically go a vacuum port on the weber.  Cap all 3 and you'll be fine.
