Triumph Repair: Need Advice, haynes book, throttle linkage

Question
Howard,  What can I say.  Thank you for being here and I'm hoping to get some learning and advice.   I have a TR7 with Dual ZS and at some point the (excuse my terms here) throttle linkage has come up missing.   When I compare the online manuals + my haynes book it's almost as if it's been geri-rigid.   At the tip of the Accelerator cable it's got a terminator + a u clip that appears to want to connect to something.   I've got about 3 inches between that and the throttle plate.   It's as if I'm missing some sort of adjustable link.   Any ideas?   Thanks Again..

Answer
Hi James,
Go to my web site and look at the drawing to see the parts you are missing. You probably have them but didn't recognize them as Carb parts. The TR-7 does have an unusual throttle linkage. It is designed to change the rate of throttle movement as you open the throttle. Why they did that I couldn't say.
